With the advent of a new job (shortlived, though at the time I couldn't have guessed), I splurged on a new camera! Replaced my Canon point-and-shoot from 2006 with a Panasonic DMZ-FZ40. It's, essentially, a glorified point-and-shoot that's more compact than a full DSLR. And I love it! Very lightweight, ridiculously long battery life, amazing 3 inch LCD display, and so many features I haven't even found them all yet. Currently my only issues are downloading RAW photos (I haven't installed the included software, and my computer won't read them without it, so I haven't been shooting in RAW), and likewise with the high-def video format - cannot v
